Your half-yearly reminder: Back up your stuff!

So, just a reminder to everybody.

Back up your stuff regularly!

I prefer things that are “drop-able”. Hard drives are not drop-able. Memory cards are. CD’s and DVD’s are. Tapes are.

All forms of media have a fixed lifespan that’s probably a lot shorter than you’d like.

But when you are moving your computer from one apartment to another, you’d better make DAMN sure that you’ve got everything nice and backed up.

But if you are wondering why posting’s going to be a little light over the next few weeks, that’s why. Current place, despite being in a nice part of Silicon Valley, has a lot more crime than I’m comfortable with. When I get victimized twice within a few months…
